The Spookiest Halloween Word Search

Book Cover and Interior Design

Client:

Tom Rose | Australia – 2025

Skils & tools:

Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, Typography Systems, Image Manipulation, Vector Illustration, Data Merge Workflows, Print Production, Amazon A+ Content Design

Project:

Designed and produced a complete puzzle publication from concept development through final print-ready delivery. The Spookiest Halloween Word Search required full creative ownership across cover design, interior layout, illustration development, and retail promotional assets.

The cover was created in Adobe Photoshop, combining photo manipulation, compositing, and tonal adjustments to establish a cohesive Halloween aesthetic. Background elements and vector illustrations were developed in Illustrator and refined within InDesign before being assembled into structured page layouts. Adobe InDesign was used to build the final book architecture, manage typography systems, construct puzzle grids, and generate press-ready PDF files.

Implemented a structured Excel-to-InDesign data merge workflow to dynamically populate word lists, puzzle variations, and recurring content elements. This system improved scalability, reduced manual production errors, and streamlined revisions across the full publication.

Extended the book’s visual identity into digital retail by designing Amazon A+ Content promotional banners, applying consistent typography, image treatment, and vector composition to strengthen marketplace presentation and brand alignment.

This project demonstrates end-to-end publication design, cross-platform asset development, technical workflow integration, and cohesive brand execution across both print and digital environments.
